8 weeks

Q baby is 8 weeks old! We went to the doc for reflux yesterday. Two month check is in a couple weeks and I'm already having anxiety over her getting shots. 😭

She is 23.5 inches long (96%!!!)
And weighs 11lbs 11oz (68%!)
BIG GIRL.

She started prevacid(?) this morning for reflux. She has spells of being REALLY fussy that seem to be related to eating. She grunts and squirms a lot when she is laying down and spits up a ton. Blakely and Henry had this problem too, but I think she is the worst so far. She doesn't sleep peacefully so I want to see if this settles her a bit. Here's hoping!

She still doesn't win any awards napping during the day, but we make it work with the solly wrap, or i hold her, or i lay down with her and put her pacifier in over and over. 😉

She usually starts to get super fussy around 4:30/5 and she goes to bed around 6:30. 50/50 she goes down easy or goes with a big fight. She usually does one long stretch 4-6 hours, then gets up at least one more time before getting up between 6:30/7:30.

She's a mix of her brother and sisters personalities. She can be laid back like her brother was, but does not have his long fuse- she gets mad quick like her sister. She's pretty happy and smiley during the day like Henry was!
And because my other two babies are pretty cute too:

5 weeks

Quincy babe is almost 6 weeks! I'm updating on her because we had to go to the doc 😝 so I know her weight currently. She was 10lbs 5oz! Chunker!

She already has her first cold. So sad. She isn't super fussy during the day, but
she's not sleeping. It seems to really bother her at night. Poor girl can hardly breath. I find myself trying to clear the mucous out of my own throat and nose thinking maybe it will clear it for her. Lol.
This was the one good nap she's taken since who knows when.

She was Cinderella for Halloween.
So far she is certainly not the easy third baby I was counting on. It's good that I kept this blog when Henry was little, cause I remember him being so easy, then I read this and realize he really wasn't that easy.
Quincy doesn't fuss a ton during the day, but does at night. She requires all of my attention from about 4 until I can get her to go to sleep. I've been trying to get her to bed around 6:30 for the past week. But it doesn't always work. Thanks to my noisy other kids and her just not really wanting to cooperate. She sleeps okish at night. She doesn't stay awake long after I feed her but she wakes up SCREAMING when she's hungry or whatever else is upsetting her. Like literally I think she's shaving years off my life when I wake up in a panic cause she is death screaming right next to me. It is so startling. She grunts and squirms all night. Even in bed with me she just doesn't sleep restfully. She eats about twice a night. During the day she goes 2.5-3 hours and at night usually does one 4hr (we've gotten a couple 5hr) stretches  unfortunately it's the first one after she goes to bed. So I don't benefit much from it. She also spits up quite a bit every time she eats.

This is as close to a smile as I've gotten on camera. But she IS smiling at me. More each day. I think I got my first smile a couple weeks ago.

Blakely wants to hold her touch her sing to her play with her all the time. I actually have to keep her away sometimes cause she has a knack for "playing" with her as she is dozing off or barely stirs and Blakely yells "she's awake!" Lol. Henry occasionally wants to touch her or hold her but he is generally not that interested in her. He told us the other day that he's still not ok with it that she isn't a boy.
Leonardo and Elsa. 😊
