I'm going to go ahead and give an update on Q girl since I am taking her to the doc this afternoon and I'm currently thinking about it! I'll likely forget or not have time when it comes to her 4month update.
I suspected she had her first ear infection. She has been ever so slightly congested with no runny nose for about 3 weeks. She is such a content little lady that taking her to the doc, honestly, has not even occurred to me until recently her night time sleep has been BAD. Up most of the night, nursing all the time. She is just happy as a lark during the day tho. So this morning it dawned on me that Blakely would get ear infections and have no symptoms other than fussiness. Doc said she has fluid behind one ear but doesn't look bad. So if she doesn't shape up will try an antibiotic in a few days. She is 14.5 lbs! Little porker!
And poor thing with that hair. 😂 she's just the prettiest with a bow tho.
Little miss is just as sweet and easygoing as she could possibly be. She goes to bed around 6, and is not interested AT ALL in being up any later. She nurses 3 times through the night until she is up around 6:30. I have not even attempted to hold her off any longer since she is in bed with me and I'm asleep within a minute or two of her waking me up. Maybe I should try, but I'm just too tired! Plus we are sleeping great as it is.
She has really started to warm up to Stephen and actually lets him keep her without throwing too big of a stink. He can even get her down for a nap- not sure our other two let him do that for the first year of their lives!
She rolls over front to back- almost
immediately after putting her on her tummy. So not much tummy time happens. Plus she's the 3rd baby so she's lucky if I even remember to put her on her tummy once every few days. 😳
She loves Blakely and Henry- and doesn't look quite as scared when Henry approaches. He is also really improving on the dos and donts of babies. He's still a little aggressive (think growling 2 cm from her face) and is entirely too self assured (running as fast as he can within inches of her head---"but I'm being careful, mom!")
She's turned into a pretty great napper for me during the day. She goes down super easy, usually sleeps for 30-45, talks to herself for a bit, then goes back to sleep for 30-1hr. She's a dream compared to my other two!
Still eats every 3 hours or so and is a breeze to nurse.
We do lots of snuggling cause I know she's probably my last and I know first d that they grow up too fast! (I'm about to have a kid in ELEMENTARY SCHOOL!)
Literally the cheesiest grin you've ever seen after she wakes up. Lol
