Beach photos

I had every intention of NOT going back to the beach with Blakely, but as our time in Gulf Shores drew to a close, I couldn't help but wonder if I would forever regret not having some cute pictures of B and her fam at the beach....SOOOOO we somehow tricked our friend Claire into getting up at 6am and heading to the beach with us for a little family photo shoot.  I hear evening light is better, but after 6pm is just a big fat no-no for Blakely, so we settled for the dawn lighting.  Claire isn't a pro, and our camera is just a dinky little thing, but we were so pleased.
This is our photographer...thought you'd like to know.

It's pretty hard to get a good picture of three people, when one doesn't know she is suppose to always be smiling at the camera, and the other two are constantly doing ridiculous things to get her to smile and look at the camera....

<--By far her best smile of the day...too bad my head is cut off!  But then again, who are we looking at in these pictures anyway?  Not me!

Here is my favorite picture of the shoot.  This IS Blakely...hands in mouth, tongue out, looking like a stinker, but a CUTE stinker.  And then, of course, her second favorite person in the whole world.  Yes, I unashamedly take first.  I am her source of life, so it's pretty much no contest.

I wish this one (below) was a little clearer.  This one is funny cause it is totally out of Stephen's comfort zone.  He doesn't exactly walk around with her on his shoulders often.  I think it freaked him out a bit, but I figured it was a good foreshadowing of his days to come.  I am sure she will spend many hours riding up there.

Blakely was not a fan of this one.  The beach was slanted, and just after this was taken she got a wave under her booty.  This is how she felt about it...

And last but not least....

I am SO glad we got up early and had our little beach shoot!  Blakely did so good, and I know I will always be glad we have these pictures!  Even if I paid for it all day for messing up her schedule.  :)

  2. LOVE these pics Sarah!! She is TOO cute!!! And we get the boy thing a lot too! I swear it's like if you don't have a bow on your child, people automatically assume your baby is a boy.... so ridiculous. She's so sweet! Wish we lived closer so our high maintenance girls could play together :)

  3. What a little beauty!!! These turned out so good. We can never get Nora to smile for the camera. Instead she's always furrowing her brow, because we're all acting ridiculous to get her to look, and ends up looking a little mad. Haha, but you got some amazing shots of a smiley baby! So cute.
