today

Today was a good day. 

Blakely didn't sleep great last night, but luckily she slept in until 6:50am.  She woke up happy.  Dad left for bible study as soon as she woke up, and we went into the living room to snugle and watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  She drank her bottle and watched some more Disney while she ate a piece of jelly toast and peanut butter toast. 
Then we did lots of playing.  Her new thing is "asking" me to come with her somewhere by stretching her arm out to me from 10 feet away.  She gets SO excited when I come.  She leads me around the house and yard pretty much all day.  We played in her room- She loves me to empty her pink piggy bank so she can put all the quarters back in.  She also likes to turn her noise machine on to "twinkle little star" and dance to it. 

Then we put makeup on.  She loves to empty out my makeup bag and open and close anything she can manage.  She also takes each of the brushes and "uses" them all at least once.  Which means she just rubs it somewhere on her body.  She spends half the time digging into the makeup bag, and the other half sitting on my lap putting her makeup on.
She went down for a nap around 9am- asleep by 9:15 and slept for about an hour.  Dad needed to mow the lawn, so we all went outside and picked purple flowers- aka: weeds.  She waved at the neighbors, birds, squirels, and each passing car. 

Then our friends Katie and Hudson came over- Hud is a few months older than B.  We played outside for a little while, then came inside.  Blakely loves Hud, but he doesn't love her.  She gets beat on a little bit, but she is tough, and persistent.  She never stops offering him toys and trying to get him to play with her, despite getting hit and having toys thrown at her. 
We had frozen pizza for lunch with homemade ranch dressing.  Blakely learned to play "ring around the rosies" and she LOVED it. 
They left around 12:30, so B had a bottle and went down for a nap.  She didn't fall asleep until 1:15ish, and only slept for about 45 minutes- but still woke up happy. 
We ate a snack of strawberries and yogurt, then loaded up to go to the grocery store. 
We went to two stores- and Blakely was pretty good- she was happier since I let her wear my pearl necklace.  She loves the attention she gets from older people and cashiers at grocery stores. 
We came home and while I put groceries away she pulled out about 20 wipes one by one.  Lovely.  She knew she was guilty, too.
Then we went outside and played.  She discovered that my drink wasn't water, and she drank half of my pina colada smoothie- She is one person I don't mind sharing with though.  She would take a big drink, then start walking away to play and get about 3 steps and come back for more until it was all gone.

We went to the back yard and she went up and down her slide over and over.

Then we got some stuff ready for supper and came outside to grill chicken until dad got home. 
We had country music on, so she walked around picking grass and rocks and stuff and doing a little dancing in between.
She ate a bottle at 5:30 since supper wasn't ready yet.  Thus she didn't eat a great supper.  She decided she no longer likes broccoli, so she ate a little bit of bread and a few bites of chicken that I forced, and some cheese.
Then she was a little fussier than usual so we headed to bathtime. 
Then she drank a little more milk since she didn't eat much and we played with blocks and read a few books, then headed to bed around 7:30.  It took her about 30 minutes to fall asleep- with one small episode of standing and crying.  And THAT was our day! 

*P.S.  We finally had her 15mo checkup and she was 19lbs 5oz (5%) and 32in (70%)

*I also had a followup ultrasound- and Henry had a growth spurt!  He is already 4lbs (yikes!) So it looks like I'll be pregnant for another couple months afterall!
